Examination and Evaluation

 

The overall performance of the students will be evaluated through the in-semester evaluations and end-semester examinations. The in-semester evaluations will be conducted by the respective faculty member or instructor of each subject whereas the end-semester examination will be conducted and awarding the grades by the authority of the examination section of FOM, TU. The evaluation on the grade sheet shall be made within the range of 0 to 4. To pass in the semester each student should be secure a least 2.7 (CGPA) in each subject.
The table below presents the CGPA and corresponding letter grade with their performance in remarks:

(a) In-semester evaluation= 40%
(b) Final evaluation = 60%
Not Qualified(NQ): It is a tool to control the performance quality of the students, it is mandatory to do all the activities prescribed by the FOM, TU and faculty member of each subject. Following are the conditions for which students shall be Not Qualified (NQ) for end-semester examination:
· If the attendance is less than 80% of the any academic semester.
· If students do not pass in the mid-term and pre-board examination conducted by PYC.
· If the minimum requirement of the assignment, project work, or presentation not be done as the recommendation of the instructor or faculty members.
· If any student is found misbehaving within the campus premises.
Normal and Maximum Duration of Study:
The normal and the maximum duration for the completion of the requirements for the various programs are as follows:
· Normal duration: 48 months (8 semesters)
· Maximum duration: 96 months (16 semesters)
